Brain structural and functional imaging examination is indispensable in the clinical diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. It can help to distinguish different clinical subtypes of Parkinson’s disease, brain anatomical lesions, and the causes of functional loop disorders of secondary Parkinson’s syndrome and Parkinson-plus syndrome. In particular, the establishment of an imaging database of Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders is of great significance to the study of the pathogenesis, the evaluation of clinical drug efficacy, and the prognosis of Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders
The PD-MDCNC imaging database is a multicenter, standardized, co-building and sharing image database of Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. At present, it contains 2,997 brain magnetic resonance images from patients with Parkinson’s disease, obtained using modules such as structural magnetic resonance and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), magnetic resonance perfusion-weighted imaging (PWI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), sensitivity-weighted imaging (SWI), and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). At the same time, a standard workflow system and technical platform for magnetic resonance image data acquisition, processing, and interpretation has been established, as well as a magnetic resonance image data-sharing platform
